THE THEOLOGY OF THE BODY

The Blessed Virgin Mary in her apparitions at Lourdes said she was the Immaculate Conception. This is now a dogma of the catholic church. This means catholics must believe that Mary was conceived free of sin. Satan thus has no power over her. She is a very special creation of God and in perfect union with God. Her Son Jesus was Son of God and also free of sin. The rest of mankind was born with original sin and therefore not in perfect union with God.
Satan is constantly trying to degrade us even further by tempting us with sin. It is then passed on from generation to generation.

His holiness Pope John Paul II gave a number of lectures on the theology of the body. He discussed the importance of keeping the sixth commandment and the pitfall of the use of the contraceptive pill. He said that the state of hell begins on earth. Evil doers cut themselves off from God's love and live in a state of hell. The place of hell is different and is where evil doers end up after death.

Pope John Paul also referred to the gospels and the letters of St Paul. St Paul tells us that sins of the flesh are sins against your own body. He said that in having sex outside of marriage you also take on the sins of the other person.

Our body is not ours but belongs to God. It is the temple of the holy spirit. When Jesus said that He would destroy the temple and in three days build it up He was referring to His death and resurrection. The temple being His body.

Jesus has told us to love those who hate you and pray for those who persecute you. Doing this helps us from committing sins against our neighbour.
Keeping the sixth commandment and love of our neighbour helps us to become pure of heart.

At Fatima Our Heavenly mother said mankind must turn away from sin. By doing this God's love can get in.

THE THEOLOGY OF THE BODY
by
J. A. Fullerton

Blessed are the pure of heart for God they shall see
And if I love my God He also lives within me
If I love my God His laws I must keep
I must take the road that is narrow and steep.

The temple of the holy spirit the body must be
If you wish to live a life that is holy and free
Love those who hate you is what you must do
And pray for those who persecute you too

Keeping the sixth commandment must be your goal
If you wish to keep pure of heart and pure of soul
For if you break this commandment you commit a great sin
And you also let the sins of the other person in

Your body is not yours but to God it belongs
So go to regular confession and right your wrongs
Our heavenly mother wants us to turn away from sin
So the love of God can get in.
