UNTIL THEY RETURN

In Australia the number of men entering the priesthood has declined substantially over the past twenty or thirty years. Our Blessed Lord has assured us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. He called Saint Peter 'the rock' and made him the first pope. Jesus said He was the good shepherd and on returning to heaven left Saint Peter in charge of his flock. He told his twelve apostles, the first catholic priests, to go out to all nations and spread the good news of the gospels. He said He would send the holy spirit to strengthen them and that He would be with them till the end of time.

All the catholic priest that I have spoken to have told me that they did not chose to become a priest. They said that Jesus had called them. They said that Jesus in some way had let them know that this was the vocation they must follow.

I pray that many young men will answer the calling.

Upon a rock I built my church

I decided on Peter after quite a long search

The rock is still solid and will last for all time

But I need more disciples to change the bread and the wine

Into my body and blood so My flock can be fed

And along the right path they all can be led

For all my disciples My heart does still burn

And I'll be sad and lonesome until the numbers return.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE

Many, Many people desire to be wealthy. They chase after that elusive dollar. But ask any person with a lot of money. They will tell you, it's great not to be short of money but there are more important things in life.Things such as happiness and health.

The biggest destroyer in life is sin. And sin is not just a myth, it is very real. Probably the greatest trick the devil has ever pulled is to convince people that he does not exist and there is no such thing as sin.

We have a choice to make. The choice between God's way or sin. When you accept sin you you reject God. And with or without money God is the only one able to make you happy. As Pope Benedict's first encyclical states 'God is love.'

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE

So you’re a millionaire, do you know your rank?
How much money do you have in the bank?
You would like to be the wealthiest person alive
So after the dollar you do strive.

Now I have a question I must ask
Is money the greatest wealth, and will it last?
You can’t take it with you when you die
So maybe there is a greater wealth you should try.

I have a suggestion I must make
And with it you will make no mistake
The love of God is the greatest wealth of all
And if you have it you will walk really tall.

And this wealth is found within God’s church
Once you know, it will end your search
And be guided by the pope in Rome
Keep a picture of him in your home.

Jesus gave his life for us
And His love is money plus;
Accept God’s love and turn away from sin
Then you will really win.
